Normal Spinal Neck Curve

The openings between the bones allow nerve roots to exit the spine unimpeeded (without interference). The vertebral edges are smooth and the disc spaces are equal.
Loss of Normal Curve

Loss of normal curve shows straightening and slight reversal. Nerve irritation, soft tissue inflammation and pain may be present or may occur from minor aggravation.
Progressive Degenerative Changes

Progressive degenerative changes have occurred. Years of chronic joint stress has resulted in bone spurs and disc degeneration. Joint instability is accompanied by continued nerve irritation and probable muscle spasm/tightness.
Severe Degeneration

Severe degeneration has occurred. Nerve inpringement and loss of mobility has been apparent for many years. This irreversible condition is usually associated with other chronic health problems.
